Following a complete renovation and extensive restoration work — the building initially served as a horse stable when the Possmann cider mill moved onto the Rödelheim site in 1937, then as a workshop, later as a gatehouse and most recently stood empty for eight years — the Possmann cider mill, together with the team from the embassy, has created a cozy restaurant for cider lovers and those who want to become one.
Quality prevails. True to the motto “The best an apple can become,” the Possmann cider mill stands for the highest quality in the production of apple wines, apple juices, and apple wine mixed drinks. Since 1973, the mill’s products have received the DLG Gold Medal 110 times, the highest product rating awarded by the German Agricultural Society (DLG).
For over 45 years, the restaurant “Da Claudio” has been a fixture in the community, and the owner’s passion for cooking has never waned.
