Low emission zone in Frankfurt am Main
Low emission zones have been in place in Frankfurt am Main since October 1, 2008 in order to comply with the limits set out in the Federal Immission Control Act (BImSchG). The environmental zones are marked by traffic signs at their borders. The additional sign tells you which sticker you are allowed to use to enter the respective zone. You can obtain the sticker from the registration office or from any garage. Foreign guests arriving by car can order the badge at www.umwelt-plakette.de in good time before their arrival and have it delivered to their home country.
